I’m speechless… this was just a beautiful story, the warmth of community, with the perspective of an object being the watcher of a shall town… I mean definitely a great write, āœļø šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘

This was beautiful, Ellie. The image of people gathering beneath that one steady light stayed with me. It captured something very real about how shared presence can quietly carry us through the heaviest seasons. Thank you for this. ✨🌿

That means a lot šŸ¤ I hoped it would feel grounded more than magical. Just people standing close enough to feel less alone

You captured that perfectly. It felt deeply grounded, and very human. That quiet sense of people simply being there for one another is what stayed with me most. 🌿

Oh Ellie that is beautiful absolutely stunning and beautiful. I think it's your best. It had me in tears and that's how I've felt all winter sinking in grief and loneliness. There has honestly only been you there for me constantly and I'm so grateful to have met you under the lamplight. Thank-you šŸ™ā™„ļø

I’m really honored it resonated with you. Winter can be so heavy, especially when grief lingers in it.

I’m glad the lamplight felt like company. None of us are meant to stand alone in it šŸ¤

When I read this, it didn’t feel like a story. It felt like somewhere I’ve stood before.

That lamppost, the way no one fixes each other, the way they just stay, that’s what got me. The widening of the circle. The breathing together. That’s the kind of comfort I’ve needed and didn’t know how to ask for.

Eira saying she’s not fine. Elias admitting the loneliness out loud. That hurt in a familiar way.

And the girl drawing light from their cracks. I’ve felt like that before. Like the broken parts were the only honest parts.

It didn’t feel magical in a big way. It felt real. Like grief in winter. Like standing outside longer than you have to because going home feels heavier.

The whisper at the end, ā€œI was once like you.ā€ I don’t even need to know what it means. It just feels true.

This piece doesn’t try to solve the dark. It just sits in it.

This means so much to me. The fact that it felt familiar rather than fantastical is exactly what I hoped for šŸ¤

Sometimes comfort isn’t about fixing. It’s just about staying. I’m really glad that part found you.

Thank you šŸ¤ I’m happy it resonated.

And when you do, I hope it’s the kind of meeting that lingers a little.
